Accredited, and what that means
Accreditation is an independent check that a practice meets the national standards for general practice. Ours is current.
Woollahra General Practice is accredited against The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Standards for general practices (5th edition), certified by Quality Practice Accreditation.

What accreditation covers
It is a three-yearly independent assessment against standards covering clinical care, patient rights, privacy of your records, infection control, the safety of the premises and equipment, and how the practice manages results, referrals and follow-up.
What it means for you
It means an independent assessor has been through this practice and checked it against the same standards applied to every accredited general practice in Australia — not that we say we are good, but that somebody else came and looked.
Teaching
Woollahra General Practice is a teaching practice. Medical students and registrars rotate through our rooms. You will always be told if a student or registrar is involved in your care, and you may decline without any effect on your treatment.
